Service Description

The History of the Saint-Charles River is one of Quebec' finest examples of re-naturalization. In the 1990s, many citizens of Quebec City deplored the state of the river, especially in the urban area. From the open dump to the concrete banks, the river can finally breathe again thanks to a strategy seeking to re-naturalize these banks since the mid-1990s. Today, on going efforts allows flora and fauna to regain their place and play an important role in the ecosystem of this tributary of the St. Lawrence. This tour is a good opportunity to explore Nouvo St-Roch, the most recent hip district of Quebec City with start-up and tech business, trendy restaurants and bistros. A reminder of the industrial district and main commercial street of the '60, St-Roch architecture reflect the prosperity of a different time. A good place to hang out and enjoy mixte social community after a walk along the River Park.
